A new year, a new start.

Happy New Year! I had planned on recapping New Years Eve a few days ago. I'll be honest, everything was more than perfect that night and all of a sudden things took a horrible turn for the worst. I spent the first 2 days of the New Year wondering how I would be able to just not mention everything and just go on blogging. However, now that things are getting back on track I feel comfortable sharing.

New Years Eve started off wonderful. I spent time getting ready, trying on dresses, and enjoying a cocktail. I realized it was after 10pm and knew that if we didn't call the taxi company to find out a time, we'd never get a cab. David calls the cab company and they tell us it's a 2-3 hour wait. Clearly that wasn't going to happen. He called down to the lobby who told us they were having a free shuttle tonight and the driver would be back around 11. We get in the shuttle, meet a bunch of Canadians and David entertained the entire van with his best Canadian accent. We get downtown which is only a 5 minute drive. We go to one of our favorite bars, have a drink and find out David's friends are at the bar down the street. We head there, it's almost midnight and we realize his friends are no longer there. We stayed. Brought in the New Year together with a few drinks, some spilt drinks and shots. We sang too loud, danced and had the most amazing time.

It's now officially the New Year. We decided it's time to head back, drink our champaign we have waiting for us in our room and call it a night. When we walk into the lobby we're created by the Canadians we met earlier, except there's even more of them. We somehow ended up playing flip cup, getting pretend married (we hope), and making stupid pointless vines.

Then things took a turn for the worst. Too much alcohol and idiot guys. I won't really discuss it, but I will say there were many rumors and lies that made me look like a horrible person.

I woke up the next morning single and feeling like I was hit by a bus. I barely was able to open my eyes before David was handing me his phone.. with my mom on the other line threatening to come get me if I didn't agree to leave. I was still trying to put everything together. I was trying to get David to just talk to me. Nothing was going to go my way.

I spent the rest of New Years Day on my parents couch, constantly getting yelled at for any new details my mom was hearing about. The next day David agreed to talk with me. Which didn't go over all that well, but it was still a little progress. The next day we saw each other before I had to work and then after I got off work. That day went better and he decided that he was going to give me a second chance.

Saturday I woke up got ready and went over to David's. We decided to go to the new Dave & Busters. It was seriously so much fun, I'm such a child when it comes to arcades. The rest of the night went really great. We relaxed, watched t.v and spent a lot of time together.

Today I had to work 12-6. It's snowing like crazy here in Michigan. The roads are horrible! David and I were going to spend the night relaxing while we get snowed in, but getting snowed in happened before we were able to see each other.

So that has been the start to 2014 for me. It's been a little stressful, but I'm so grateful for how things are going. Hopefully things keep looking up.

I hope you all had a wonderful start to 2014! I also hope it was a little less stressful than mine!
